Backpocket Brewing Co. is a craft brewery located in Coralville, Iowa, United States. The brewery was founded by Jake Simmons and James Simmons in 2012. The name "Backpocket" was chosen to reflect the founders' belief that good beer should be as comfortable and familiar as something you carry in your back pocket.

Backpocket Brewing Co. is known for its German-inspired beers, a nod to Iowa's rich brewing history, which was heavily influenced by German immigrants in the 19th century. The brewery's flagship beer, the Gold Coin, is a German-style blonde lager.

In 2013, Backpocket Brewing Co. expanded its operations by opening a new 15,000 square foot brewing facility in Coralville. This allowed the brewery to increase its production capacity and distribution reach.
