π Short History:
Big Lake Brewing is a craft brewery located in Holland, Michigan, United States. The brewery was founded in 2009 by Travis Prueter and Nic Winsemius, who were both homebrewers. They started brewing in a small warehouse in Holland, Michigan, with a 3-barrel system.
In 2013, Big Lake Brewing opened its first taproom on Butternut Drive in Holland. The taproom was a success, and the brewery quickly outgrew the space. In 2017, Big Lake Brewing moved to a larger location in downtown Holland, at 13 West 7th Street. The new location allowed the brewery to increase its brewing capacity and offer a full food menu.
Big Lake Brewing is known for its wide variety of craft beers, including IPAs, stouts, and lagers. Some of their popular beers include Ryecoe IPA, Camper English Mild, and Leroy Brown.
The brewery has won several awards for its beers. In 2018, their "Lake King" American IPA won a silver medal at the Can Can Awards, a global competition for canned craft beers.
As of 2021, Big Lake Brewing continues to operate in downtown Holland, serving a variety of craft beers and food to locals and visitors alike.
