Goose Island brewery tour offers a deep dive into Chicago’s craft beer legacy at the historic Fulton Street brewery, birthplace of the legendary Bourbon County Stout and one of America’s pioneering craft brands since 1988.
The Goose Island brewery tour begins with the story of founder John Hall and the brand’s role in shaping Chicago’s craft beer scene. You’ll explore the original 30-barrel brewhouse and the famous barrel room where Bourbon County Stout ages in freshly emptied bourbon barrels.
The tasting includes four pours: 312 Urban Wheat Ale, IPA, Honker’s Ale, and a seasonal or barrel-aged specialty. After the tour, you can enjoy the full taproom experience with 30+ Goose Island beers on draft.
"Book your tour early—Bourbon County Stout release events sell out months in advance. If you’re visiting in November, try to attend the BCBS release party. After the tour, stay for dinner—the beer-braised short ribs are exceptional. Don’t miss their experimental 'Brewmaster’s Series' if you’re a stout lover!"
