Captain Lawrence Brewing Co. is a craft brewery located in Elmsford, New York. It was founded by Scott Vaccaro in 2006. Vaccaro developed a passion for brewing while in college and later attended the University of California, Davis, where he received a degree in Fermentation Science. After working for Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. and several other breweries, Vaccaro decided to start his own brewery in his home state of New York.

The brewery was named after Captain Lawrence Drive in South Salem, New York, where Vaccaro grew up. The company started with a 20-barrel brewhouse and a small tasting room. The first beers produced by Captain Lawrence Brewing Co. were Freshchester Pale Ale, Liquid Gold Belgian-style ale, and Captain's Reserve Imperial IPA.

In 2011, due to increasing demand, the brewery moved to a larger facility in Elmsford, New York. The new location allowed for increased production and the addition of a larger tasting room. The brewery also began offering tours and hosting events.

Over the years, Captain Lawrence Brewing Co. has won numerous awards for its beers. For example, in 2014, their "Rosso e Marrone" won a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival in the category of Belgian-Style Flanders Oud Bruin or Oud Red Ale.
