📜 Short History:
Coastal Empire Beer Co. is a craft brewery located in Savannah, Georgia, USA. The brewery was founded by two brothers, Chris and Kevin Haborak, in 2011. The Haborak brothers initially started as homebrewers before deciding to turn their passion into a business.
The first beer they produced was the Savannah Brown Ale, which won the People's Choice Award at the 2011 Savannah Craft Brew Fest, marking a promising start for the fledgling brewery. This beer is still part of their core lineup today.
In 2014, Coastal Empire Beer Co. opened its own production facility in Savannah, allowing them to increase production and have more control over the brewing process. Prior to this, they had been contract brewing their beers at Thomas Creek Brewery in Greenville, South Carolina.
The brewery has won several awards for its beers. Notably, their Coco Piña Gose won a gold medal at the 2016 Great American Beer Festival in the Field Beer category.
Coastal Empire Beer Co. is known for producing a wide range of beer styles, from traditional ales and lagers to more experimental brews. They also have a commitment to using local ingredients whenever possible, which is reflected in their seasonal and limited release beers.
