Jackalope Brewing Company, LLC is a craft brewery located in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. It was founded by Bailey Spaulding and Robyn Virball, two friends who met in 2002 while studying abroad in Scotland. They reconnected in Nashville years later and decided to start a brewery.

Bailey, who was studying for her law degree at Vanderbilt University, started homebrewing as a hobby. She teamed up with Robyn, who had a background in marketing, to turn this hobby into a business. They began developing their business plan in 2009, while Bailey was still in law school.

In 2010, they were joined by Steve Wright, who became a co-owner and the company's president. The trio spent the next year renovating a warehouse in Nashville's Gulch neighborhood to house their brewery.

Jackalope Brewing Company officially opened its doors to the public on May 21, 2011, becoming one of the first craft breweries in Nashville. It was also the first craft brewery in Nashville to be owned by women. The name "Jackalope" was inspired by a mythical creature of the same name, which is a rabbit with antelope horns.

The brewery initially offered three core beers: Thunder Ann American Pale Ale, Rompo Red Rye, and Bearwalker Maple Brown. Over the years, they have expanded their offerings to include a variety of seasonal and specialty beers.

In 2013, Jackalope became the first Nashville craft brewery to can its beer, starting with Thunder Ann. This was a significant milestone, as it allowed the brewery to distribute its beer more widely.

In January 2019, Jackalope opened a second location, known as The Ranch, in the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood of Nashville. This 16,000-square-foot facility includes a taproom, event space, and a production facility that allows the brewery to increase its production capacity.

As of the present day, Jackalope Brewing Company continues to operate as a successful craft brewery in Nashville, known for its innovative and high-quality beers.
