π Short History:
Kinkaider Brewing Co. is a craft brewery located in Broken Bow, Nebraska, United States. The brewery was founded in 2014 by four Nebraskans: Barry Fox, Cody Schmick, Nate Bell, and Dan Hodges. The name "Kinkaider" is derived from the Kinkaid Act of 1904, which allowed settlers to claim up to 640 acres of land in Nebraska's Sandhills region. This historical connection is a nod to the brewery's commitment to local heritage and community.
The brewery is situated on a farm, which provides a unique setting and allows for the integration of locally sourced ingredients. Kinkaider Brewing Co. has a strong focus on producing a wide variety of craft beers, including seasonal and specialty brews.
In 2016, Kinkaider opened a second location in Grand Island, Nebraska, expanding their reach and capacity. The brewery has since continued to grow and is known for its popular events, such as the annual Kinkaider Snow Beast Winter Ale release party.
Kinkaider Brewing Co. has also gained recognition for its quality brews. For instance, their Frame the Butcher IPA won a bronze medal at the 2016 U.S. Open Beer Championship.
As of the present day, Kinkaider Brewing Co. remains a significant part of Nebraska's craft beer scene, contributing to the state's brewing heritage and culture.
