Orono Brewing Company is a craft brewery located in Orono, Maine, USA. The brewery was founded by Abe Furth, Heather Furth, Asa Marsh-Sachs, and Mark Horton. The team started planning the brewery in 2013 and officially opened its doors on October 1, 2014.

The founders had a shared passion for craft beer and a vision to create high-quality, innovative brews. Asa Marsh-Sachs, the head brewer, brought his experience from working at other breweries and his knowledge from studying Brewing Science at the American Brewers Guild.

The brewery started in a small 1,200 square foot space in downtown Orono. The original location had a 7-barrel brewing system and a small tasting room. The beers were initially sold in growlers and kegs.

Due to the popularity of their beers, Orono Brewing Company expanded its operations. In 2016, they opened a larger brewery and tasting room in a renovated 90-year-old former car dealership building in Bangor, Maine. This new location allowed them to increase their production and offer a wider variety of beers.

In 2019, Orono Brewing Company opened a third location, a 10,000 square foot brewery and tasting room in Orono. This new facility features a 20-barrel brewing system, a canning line, and a large outdoor beer garden. The company continues to innovate and produce a wide range of craft beers, including IPAs, stouts, and lagers.

Orono Brewing Company's beers have been recognized for their quality and creativity. They have won several awards at beer competitions, and their beers are distributed throughout the state of Maine.
