📜 Short History:
Props Brewery and Grill is a veteran-owned microbrewery located in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. It was founded by Nathan Vannatter, Mike Kee, and Brian Walsh, who are all veterans of the United States Air Force. The brewery officially opened its doors to the public in 2011.
The name "Props" is a nod to the propellers of the C-130 Hercules aircraft, a plane commonly used by the U.S. Air Force. This reflects the founders' military background and their desire to pay homage to their service. The brewery's logo also features a stylized image of a C-130 propeller.
Props Brewery and Grill started with a 3-barrel brewing system, but due to increasing demand, they upgraded to a 15-barrel system in 2013. They offer a variety of craft beers, including their flagship brews: the Blonde Bomber Blonde Ale, Flying Coffin IPA, and Four Kings Brown Ale.
In addition to their original location, Props Brewery and Grill opened a second location, known as Props Ale House, in 2016. This location features a taproom and a larger brewing system, allowing them to produce a wider variety of beers.
Props Brewery and Grill is known for its commitment to the local community, often participating in and hosting local events. They also have a strong commitment to quality, with a focus on using the best ingredients and brewing techniques to produce their craft beers.
