π Short History:
Railtown Brewing Company is a microbrewery located in Dutton, Michigan, USA. It was founded by two friends, Gim Lee and Justin Buiter, who shared a passion for home brewing. They officially opened the doors of Railtown Brewing Company on December 12, 2014.
The brewery started in a small 3,000 square foot space with a 3-barrel brewing system. They initially offered four beers on tap and quickly expanded their selection. The name "Railtown" was inspired by the rich railroad history of Dutton, Michigan.
In 2018, Railtown Brewing Company expanded its operations by moving into a new 6,250 square foot facility, which is located next to the original location. The new facility includes a kitchen, offering a full food menu, and a larger taproom, which can accommodate more guests. The brewing capacity was also increased with a new 20-barrel brewing system.
As of now, Railtown Brewing Company continues to serve a variety of craft beers and food to its patrons, with a focus on creating a community-centered atmosphere.
