π Short History:
RAM Restaurant and Brewery, also known as RAM International, is a family-owned restaurant chain that was founded in 1971. The first RAM was opened in Lakewood, Washington by Jeff Iverson Sr. and his family.
The company initially started as a "Deluxe Tavern" that served gourmet burgers and sandwiches. It was not until 1995 that the company ventured into the brewing industry. The first brewery was established in Salem, Oregon, and it marked the beginning of the RAM's journey into the world of craft beer.
The Tacoma branch of the RAM Restaurant and Brewery was opened in 1995, marking it as one of the earliest locations to feature the company's new focus on brewing. This location, like the others, offers a variety of craft beers brewed in-house, alongside a menu of American pub food.
Over the years, the RAM Restaurant and Brewery has won numerous awards for its beers at local, regional, and national competitions. The company has grown significantly since its inception, with multiple locations across the United States. Despite this growth, the RAM remains a family-owned business, with the founder's sons, Jeff Iverson Jr. and David Iverson, currently leading the company.
