π Short History:
Seedstock Brewery is a craft brewery located in Denver, Colorado. It was founded by brothers Ron and Jason Abbott, who are of Czech descent. The Abbott brothers have a family history of brewing that dates back to their great-grandfather in the Czech Republic.
The name "Seedstock" comes from the brothers' farming background. A seedstock is a population of animals or plants used for breeding. In the context of the brewery, it represents the brothers' belief in simplicity and tradition, which is reflected in their beer-making process.
Seedstock Brewery officially opened its doors in April 2016. The brewery focuses on old-world, traditional beer styles with an emphasis on Czech lagers, but also offers a variety of other styles. The brewery's philosophy is "simple things done well," which is reflected in their straightforward and traditional brewing methods.
Seedstock Brewery has received several awards for its beers. In 2017, it won a silver medal at the Great American Beer Festival for its Dusseldorf Alt. In 2019, it was named the third-best brewery in the United States by the Beer Connoisseur Magazine.
As of now, Seedstock Brewery continues to operate in Denver, offering a variety of traditional and unique beers to its customers.
