π Short History:
Wander Brewing is a family-owned craft brewery located in Bellingham, Washington. It was founded by Chad and Colleen Kuehl in 2014. The couple spent several years traveling the world, which inspired the name "Wander" and the global influence on their beers.
The Kuehls' journey into brewing began with homebrewing, which eventually led them to professional brewing education at the Siebel Institute of Technology in Chicago and Doemens Academy in Munich, Germany. After their education and travels, they decided to settle in Bellingham and open Wander Brewing.
The brewery is housed in a 100-year-old historic building, which was renovated to accommodate the brewing operations. The building includes a 20-barrel brewhouse, a barrel-aging room, and a taproom known as the "brew hall."
Wander Brewing is known for its wide variety of beers, including traditional styles and experimental brews. They have a particular focus on barrel-aged and blended beers. Their beers have won several awards, including a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival in 2015 for their Wild Warehouse Barrel-Aged Beer.
As of the current date, Wander Brewing continues to operate in Bellingham, serving a variety of beers in their brew hall and distributing throughout the Pacific Northwest.
