π Short History:
Wolf's Ridge Brewing is a family-owned craft brewery located in Columbus, Ohio. The brewery was established by Alan Szuter and his father Bob Szuter in 2013. The name "Wolf's Ridge" comes from the early history of Columbus, when the area was a wilderness frequented by wolves.
The Szuters had a vision to create a brewery that would be known for both its beer and food. They wanted to create a place where people could come together to enjoy good beer, good food, and good company. To achieve this, they brought on board a team of talented individuals, including brewmaster Chris Davison and chef Seth Lassak.
Wolf's Ridge Brewing started with a 15-barrel brewhouse and a small taproom. Over the years, the brewery has expanded its operations and now includes a full-service restaurant and a separate taproom. The brewery is known for its diverse range of beers, from traditional styles to innovative brews.
In 2015, Wolf's Ridge Brewing started bottling its beers, allowing them to reach a wider audience. The brewery has won several awards for its beers, including a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival in 2018 for its "Dire Wolf" Russian Imperial Stout.
Wolf's Ridge Brewing is committed to sustainability and sources many of its ingredients locally. The brewery also gives back to the community through various charitable initiatives.
As of now, Wolf's Ridge Brewing continues to be a popular destination for beer lovers in Columbus and beyond, known for its quality beers and commitment to the community.
